Calvin is literally scared and repulsed by the mentally ill.
I have taken to chasing him around the house whilst doing a somewhat un-PC impression of a mentally ill person. It's justified in that it terrifies him and is therefore hilarious.

Calvin doesn't want Gabourey Sidibe (the favourite at this year's Oscars for best lead actress) to win the award for 'Precious' because she's "just some fat black woman". This means she probably won't get many more lead roles in Hollywood.
Apparently, the Oscars are supposed to go to people who'll get offered loads of work afterwards and not to whoever gave the best performance. Silly (racist) Calvin.
